Delete Your Account
Effective June 4, 2026
This page explains how to request deletion of your Grind Track account and the data associated with it. Grind Track is the fitness-tracking app published under the “Grind Track” name on your app store. You can delete your account yourself from inside the app, or ask us to do it for you by email.
Deleting your account is permanent. Once the deletion is complete the data listed below is removed and cannot be recovered.
01How to request deletion
From inside the Grind Track app (fastest — your account is deactivated immediately):
- Open Grind Track and sign in to your account.
- Go to the Profile tab and open Settings (the gear icon in the top-right corner).
- Scroll to the bottom, to the “Danger Zone”, and tap “Delete Account”.
- Confirm the deletion when the app asks — it double-checks before anything is removed.
- Your account is deactivated and you are signed out right away. The rest is removed automatically (see the timeline below).
By email (use this if you have uninstalled the app or can’t sign in): email privacy@grindtrack.co from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. Tell us the email or username on the account so we can verify you own it. We complete verified requests within 30 days and confirm by email when it’s done.
02What gets deleted
When your request is processed we permanently delete the data we hold about you, including:
| Category | What it includes |
|---|---|
| Account & profile | Name, username, email, phone number, hashed password, profile and cover photos, bio, date of birth, sex, height, units and goals. |
| Workouts & activity | Logged workouts, sets, reps, weights, RPE, GPS routes, personal records and streaks. |
| Nutrition | Meal and food logs, custom foods, recipes, and label/barcode/photo scans. |
| Routines & plans | Routines you created, program enrollments and their progress, and AI-generated workouts and meal plans. |
| Social | Posts, comments, reactions, follows, gym memberships and leaderboard entries. |
| Health & recovery | Synced health metrics, recovery and readiness data, body measurements and progress photos. |
| Devices & sessions | Sign-in sessions, push-notification tokens and device identifiers. |
03When it happens
- Immediately — your account is deactivated and anonymized, you are signed out of every device, and your profile stops being visible to other users.
- Within 30 days — all of the personal data listed above is permanently and irreversibly purged from our active systems and rolling backups.
04What we keep, and for how long
A small amount of data is kept after deletion, only where the law requires it or where it can no longer identify you:
| Data | Retention |
|---|---|
| Transaction, billing and tax records | Kept in de-identified form for the period required by applicable accounting and tax law, then deleted. |
| Anonymized / aggregated analytics | May be retained indefinitely because it can no longer be linked to you. |
| Records needed to handle fraud, abuse or legal claims | Kept only as long as legally necessary, then deleted. |
05Cancel your subscription separately
Deleting your Grind Track account does not cancel an active paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Google Play or Apple, not by Grind Track, so you must cancel them in your store account: on Android, open Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions; on iPhone, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancel before you delete your account to avoid further charges.
Questions about any of this? Email privacy@grindtrack.co and we’ll help.
